How did you get into CrossFit?

  • My fitness routine at my former gym was becoming boring.  I was using weight machines, but I really wanted to learn to lift a barbell.  CrossFit offered that and much, much more!

What motivates your passion for fitness and healthy living? 

  • I really enjoy a physical challenge.  As a kid, I used to LOVE the physical fitness testing we had to complete every year in middle school and high school.  Working out is also like my daily therapy after work.  Cooking meals and eating healthy are another top priority; cooking is one of my favorite hobbies.

What are some of the benefits you have seen from doing CrossFit?

  • I’m stronger and fitter than I’ve ever been.  We also have a community of awesome people in our gym to make friends with and be supported by during workouts.

Why do you coach and what motivates you to teach? 

  • I like to be able to encourage our athletes and watch their achievements.  Coaching allows me to become more of an expert at the movements and helps me to be a better athlete too.

What are some things you like to do outside of CrossFit?

  • Running, camping in the mountains, gardening, cooking, playing with my two dogs, and traveling.

What is your favorite food?

  • I love all food… especially Mexican food.
